Rear Motor Mount Replacement

Serving Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte

A rear motor mount failure on an Arboc Mobility Bus led to a major structural repair after the rear mount completely ripped away from the frame assembly. Problems like this can create serious drivability concerns, excessive vibration, drivetrain movement, and extended downtime for fleet operators if not repaired correctly. Stanley’s Mobile Service was brought in to perform the warranty repair for Model 1 and Arboc Specialty Vehicles to get the vehicle safely back into operation.

Once our technicians inspected the damage, it was clear the original mounting area had experienced significant stress over time. The failed motor mount and damaged frame section had to be carefully removed before repairs could begin. Our team cut out the damaged portion of the frame assembly and prepared the area for reinforcement and replacement of new components. We then installed a new motor mount along with brand-new mount bushings to restore proper support and alignment to the drivetrain system.

However, replacing the damaged components alone was not enough. Because this area experiences constant stress from engine torque, road vibration, stop-and-go driving, and heavy daily operation, we wanted to provide a stronger long-term solution that would help prevent another failure in the future. To accomplish this, our team fabricated and welded an additional reinforcement mount directly onto the frame assembly. This added structural support helps distribute the load more effectively and strengthens the mounting area beyond the original factory configuration.

Repairs like this are especially important for transit buses and shuttle fleets that operate under demanding conditions every day. Excessive drivetrain movement caused by a failed motor mount can eventually lead to additional wear on surrounding components, driveline issues, and unsafe operating conditions if ignored.

At Stanley’s Mobile Service, we focus on delivering repairs that go beyond simply replacing broken parts. Our goal is to provide dependable, long-lasting solutions that improve reliability and reduce future downtime for our customers. By combining structural reinforcement, precision welding, and quality replacement components, we were able to complete this warranty repair efficiently and help ensure this Arboc Mobility Bus returns to service stronger and more durable than before.
