Bus Brake and Drum Replacement
Serving Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte
During a recent on-site service call for Blood Connection in Raleigh, Stanley’s Mobile Service completed critical repairs that helped prevent major downtime and kept operations running smoothly. What began as a routine visit quickly turned into a full-service repair job involving both mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
During inspection of one of the buses, our technicians identified severe wear in the rear brake system that could have led to unsafe operation or an unexpected breakdown if left unaddressed. We immediately performed a rear brake shoe and drum replacement directly on site, eliminating the need to tow the vehicle to a repair facility. Completing the repair at the customer’s location saved valuable time and allowed the bus to return to service much faster than traditional shop scheduling would allow.
While already on location, we were also asked to diagnose an issue involving a generator that had lost reliable power output. After troubleshooting the electrical system, we identified a faulty generator output board as the source of the problem. Our team repaired the issue the same day, restoring dependable power and preventing additional operational delays.
Handling both repairs during a single visit provided significant value for the customer by reducing downtime, limiting disruptions, and avoiding multiple service appointments. This project highlights the importance of preventative inspections, fast diagnostics, and having experienced mobile technicians capable of handling a wide range of repairs in the field.
At Stanley’s Mobile Service, our goal is simple: keep fleets operating safely, efficiently, and with as little downtime as possible. From emergency repairs to preventative maintenance, we bring the repair shop directly to our customers.
